Soldong United Soccer: Tampi FC thump Heibunglok 4-0, Soldong Utd edge out KA FC 4-3

IMPHAL, Aug 20 : Tampi FC knocked Heibunglok out with a huge 4-0 win as Soldong United edged out Kankhu Athletic FC (KAFC) 4-3 in the 1st Soldong United 9-A Side Football Tournament at Maha Union ground, Japhou Keithel today.
Tampi FC made it to the next round with the huge win thanks to WS Famoz's treble (47', 60', 65') and a single by NL Thumtha (53') after a barren first half.
Meanwhile in the third match of the tournament, Soldong United had to work hard to ensure the next round berth as Bunghring of KAFC gave a fine performance and scored a brace to give his team a 2-1 lead till the break.
Warchipui of Soldong United drew first blood in the 10th minute but Bunghring managed two goals in the 15th and the 25th minute to make it 2-1 but Sovami and Ningom of Soldong United scored a goal apiece in the 45th and the 50th minute to help their team regained the lead.  The lead was however cancelled when Strongman of KAFC hit the team's third at the stroke of the hour mark but Soldong put up a determined effort and broke the deadlock once and for all in the 65th minute.
