Help reaches family who tried to commit suicide

Thoubal, Aug 20: Help finds it way to elevate the living condition of four of Khangabok Sanilou Leikai family who were rescued yesterday from committing suicide.
The mother identified as Khundrakpam (O) Premila Devi  and her children - Kh Biken (17), Kh Thaja (18) and Kh Somes (13) were trying to commit suicide by consuming poison when they were rescued by the vigilant locals.
Premila's husband- Khundrakpam Romen (46) had met with an accident and has not been working since due to serious injury on his legs.
With the news of the incident reaching far, many including MSPDCL (Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited) and former State vice president of BJP Manipur Pradesh, Th Jadumani have rushed to help the 'victims of poverty'.
MSPDCL provided electricity connection to the family while Th Jadumani assisted with GI sheets for roofing and bags of paddy.
Stating that the extreme action to commit suicide was taken as a result of 'poverty', Th Jadumani said that the family will be assisted in every possible way to elevate their living standard.
Advising the family to be 'strong', Th Jadumai assured that all efforts will be taken to up to construct a house for the family with the assistance of Chief Minister N Biren.
He will  also sponsor 70 percent of  educational expenses of the children, said Jadumani assuring their condition will improve.
