Babysana JAC lines up protest schedules

IMPHAL, Aug 20: Condemning the statement made by the Chief Minister through the media, the JAC which was formed in connection with the mysterious death of N Babysana, has lamented that the State Government has failed to produce any of the culprits who are responsible for the death.
A press release issued by the JAC today alleged that there is still a big gap between the Government and the JAC and added that it will not call off its agitation unless the CBI begins investigation into the case.
Demanding the authorities concerned and the police to stop firing tear gas shells to disperse the peaceful protesters, the JAC further laid down its schedule for the ongoing relay hunger strike.
It informed that tomorrow, the protest will be observed at Sinam Leikai, Yumnam Leikai, Neikanlong, Tharol and Tarung.
On August 22, the protest will be carried out by the people of Lairenhanjaba Leikai, Meisnam Leikai, Hijam Leikai, Namthanlong, Dimdaijang, Koireng Colony at THAU. On August 23, similar protest will be carried out by locals of Lourung Purel Leikai, Khomdram Selungba Leikai and Lumdaijang at THYO club.
On August 24, the people of Polem Leikai, Phougeisangbam Leikai, Kabrabam Leikai, DM College colony, bazar area and Major Khul will protest at RK Club Khoyathong Pukhri Achouba Mapan.
Locals of Soram Leirak, Khoirom Leikai, Meinam Leikai, Chungtham Leikai, Takhellambam Leikai, Naoshekpam Leikai, Ningthoujam Leikai and Thangjam Leikai will organise the protest at KLYC Kangjabi on August 25, the JAC mentioned, urging all to participate in the protest.
On the other hand, the All India Students' Federation, Central Office, has demanded a proper investigation into the mysterious death of N Babysana.
A press release issued by the National president of AISF today mentioned that the situation is getting worse day by day in Thangmeiband AC following the incident with students and people agitating continuously demanding justice for the little girl.
It expressed serious concern regarding the ongoing issue and demanded a proper and unbiased investigation into the case without any further delay.
Ragailong Youth Club (RYC) and Ragailong Women's Society (RWS) Imphal, have also strongly condemned the death of N Babysana, further demanding the authorities concerned to find the culprits at the earliest so as to prevent such unfortunate incidents from happening in the future.
They also assured to support the JAC in all its agitation.
