IW 1st Divn League: Sanatomba, Rojen help PAMYAL thump THAU 6-2, NC Club hold SICO to 2-2 draw

IMPHAL, Aug 21 : O Sanatomba scored thrice while W Rojen struck twice to help PAMYAL, Patsoi power past THAU, Thangmeiband by 6-2 goals in a one sided match of the ongoing 26th L Sangita Memorial First Division Football League Tournament being organised under the aegis of Imphal West District Football Association at Turf Ground, Khuman Lampak today.
PAMYAL started the game on a flying note and pumped in four goals past the Thangmeiband outfit which also replied back with two goals, in the opening half. O Sanatomba and W Rojen were on their task right from the beginning of the match and took only three minutes to put PAMYAL ahead with O Sanatomba taking the honour to net the opener. O Sanatomba doubled their advantage 5 minutes latter as THAU struggled together to find their composure. W Rojen who was looking for his turn struck the team's third in the 10th minute and gave PAMYAL an unassailable 3-0 lead before Samson Sekhu of THAU pulled back a goal in the 20th minute.
W Rojen maintained his composure and banged in his second when the match was half hour old and helped his team retain the 3 goal lead. L Forein of THAU too had his name for scoring the team's second and the last goal of the match in the 32nd minute as PAMYAL went into the break with a 4-2 lead.
PAMYAL took their feet of the saddle for a better portion of the second half before K Rajkumar hit the 5th goal for the team in the 72nd minute and O Sanatoba completed his treble to ensure the 6-2 finish.
THAU's L Forein was yellow carded for stopping a promising attack in the 24th minute while J Chiru and W Sanjit of the same team got the same for reckless tacklings.L Rakesh of PAMYAL was also yellow carded by the referee for a holding challenge during the stoppage time (80+3').
Meanwhile in another match, NC Club, Khonghampat made an impressive comeback after trailing by two goals to  hold SICO, Lourembam.
SICO led the first half 1-0 thanks to P Ronendro's goal in the 11th minute before M Beckenbor doubled their advantage in the 42nd minute.
NC Club however rallied back with style and grabbed two goals through Bipin (43') and Loyangamba (80') to settle the game in a 2-2 draw.
YAC will play SCK, Kodompokpi in the last match of the league tournament tomorrow at 2 pm.
