18th Mini Volleyball Tournament: PRSC earn two wins on Day 3 to ease into quarter final

IMPHAL, Aug 23 : PRSC, Pourabi posted two wins on the third day of the 18th Mini State Level Volleyball tournament to ease into the quarter final as Group B runners up.
PRSC which carved out a 3-2 sets win against USDC, Uyumpok in their earlier fixture had another hard competition today against LEWA, Lamding before coming out triumphant with a 12-25, 25-27, 25-22, 26-24, 15-12 finish.
PRSC then earned a hard fought 3-1 sets win against SDC, Samurou in another Group B league match. PRSC went down in the first set but made a good comeback in the following sets to secure the 23-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-18 win at the end.
Rampant KLYGC, Kangmong also posted their fourth win of the tournament beating KLLK, Mayang Imphal to emerge Group A winners.
KLYGC started on a positive note but went down in the third set before coming back and sealed the game 25-19, 2517, 21-25, 25-23. AMYC, Andro Machengpat finished runners up of the same group to ensure their place in the quarter final following their 25-14, 25-18, 26-24 win against SDI, Ishok today.
NYVA-B, Naorem also booked the quarter final berth as Group C winners as they earned a 27-25, 25-23, 25-15 win against IGO, Oinam.
Meanwhile in the Group D league matches, HYDCCL, Heigrujam overcame RYC 25-21, 25-23, 25-15 before RYC downed KSA, Irengbam 25-11, 23-25, 25-22, 25-16.
The day also saw USDC beat SDC Samurou by 3-1 ( 25-20, 24-26, 25-19, 25-16) sets and SDC prevail 25-15, 25-14, 20-25, 25-13 over LEWA, Lamding in Group B league matches.
