Soldong Utd Soccer: Riverlane FC, Sintaruwng advance into next round

IMPHAL, Aug 23 : Riverlane FC sealed a huge a 5-1 win over  Ningmol FC  while Sintaruwng outperformed ITCPC 3-2 at Maha Union Ground, Japhou Keithel today to advance into the next round of the ongoing 1st Soldong United 9 A Side Football Tournament.
The first match saw Ningmol FC lead the game by 1-0 in the 10th minute with a goal from Mitchel, however, Riverlane FC made an unexpected comeback and banged in 5 goals on trot to finish the game 5-1.
Anngwar (17'); Bunghon (28'); Angjoyhring (43', 50') and Macson (63') were the scorers for the winning side.
In the second match, Sintaruwng secured a hard fought 3-2 win over ITCPC as Danny scored twice.
Though, Marconi of ITCPC fired in the opening goal of the match  in the 29th minute, Wangpaul of Sintaruwng levelled the scoreline 7 minutes later, before Sintaruwng overturned the lead with Danny's score in the 51st minute. Interestingly, ITCPC made their way back into the game as Alfred drew level in the 62nd minute. The two sides made relentless attempt after the goal in search of the lead but Sintaruwng came out on top as Danny fired home the winner in the 70th minute.
