SWC thump AIFA 3-0 as DSA Kakching 1st Divn League begins

IMPHAL, Aug 25 : SWC, Waikhong prevailed while LYA and AKSA shared points in the opening day of  the 17th Kishorekumar Memorial 1st Division Football League/Tournament 2019 organised by District Sports Association, Kakching at DSA Playground, Kakching.
The first match of the day ended in 3-3 as LYA and AKSA both failed to find their fourth goal to take home the win.
A Ronex scored the first goal of the tourney and gave LYA a 1-0 lead  in the 22nd minute before H Amarjit doubled the advantage  in the 37th minute.
AKSA rallied back and scored their first goal in the 45th minute through S Micheal to reduce the scoreline to 2-1, however, L Ibochouba of LYA doubled the lead again (3-1) in the 42nd minute.
N Chingtam (56') and S Suresh (61') of AKSA then contributed a goal each to draw level the scoreline to 3-3.
In the second match, SWC, Waikhong sealed a comfortable 3-0 win over AIFA , Irengband, riding on goals by W Tejkumar (12'), M Suraj (29') and Salenganba (40+3).
Prior to the matches, the opening ceremony was graced by Y Nilachandra Singh, Executive Engineer, Police Housing Corporation and Y Mangoljao, president DSA, Kakching as chief guest and president respectively.
