Cry Of A Dying River...91

I am no longer the river I was once
The river that keeps getting narrower and narrower
The river whose width is inching closer to a diminutive drainage
The river whose river-bed is drying up
The river-bed that has not been dredged for too long
The river whose verdant banks are made barren
The river whose natural flow is disturbed by concrete walls and debris
The river whose naturalness is violated by mechanical propulsion
The river that cries for restoration of her natural self
Unchained Undisturbed Unhindered Unhinged and Unpolluted.

I am no longer the river I was once
The river that has undergone multiform metamorphoses
From a pristine beauty to an urban ugly
From a natural river to an artificial drainage
From a fishable river to a contagious rivulet
From a swimmable river to a contaminous stream
The river that has been undone by polluted urban runoff
The river that has been METAMORPHOSISED
Into a river of plastics and pollutants
A river most polluted oozing out noxious odour.
