Tbl 2nd Divn League: AFC-B prevail 4-1 against UOC, NGL beat EEO in 5-goal thriller

IMPHAL, Sep 14 : AFC-B, Athokpam secured an emphatic 4-1 win against UOC, Uyal while Chinglensana scored to help NGL, Lourembam carve out a 3-2 win against EEO, Lumding in today's league matches of the 2nd Division Football League Tournament organised by DFA Thoubal at Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School playground, Thoubal.
The Group A league match of the day witnessed AFC-B overcome UOC after the latter team take the lead through Kingson (31'). Neboson drew level for AFC-B in the 39th minute before Kenedy broke the deadlock the very next minute and there was no looking for the Athokpam team since then as Giten (49') and Maikel (54') grabbed two more to make it 4-1 past the Uyal side which were given no recovery chance afterwards.
Meanwhile in the Group A league match, NGL fought back after EEO managed drew level to clinch a 3-2 win.
NGL dominated the earlier proceedings and take a 2-0 lead with H Nirjit and Y Surjit finding the net respectively in the 12th and the 27th minute but EEO rode on Radhakanta (32') and Bairan (58') to made their way back into the game before Chinglensana cleared the doubt once and for all in the 63rd and gave NGL the tight win.
YDA, Tentha will take on UOC, Uyol in a group A league match tomorrow at 1.30 pm.
