NWYC down ULFC 2-1 in Cdl Super Divn League

IMPHAL, Sep 14 : New Wangparel Youth Club (NWYC) posted a 2-1 win against United Lamkang Football Club (ULFC) at Kapaam Ground in a rescheduled match of the ADC Chandel Trophy Super Division Football League tournament being organised by District Sports Association Chandel. The match was rescheduled after heavy rain hampered the previous fixture.
ULFC started the game on a positive note as Bungdam found the breakthrough in the 11th minute before the team lost its composure and NWYC took control of the game latter on. Noel drew level for NWYC in the 24th minute of the match to make it 1-1 till the break and Bunghong completed the turnaround when he beat ULFC keeper in the 58th minute of the match.
ULFC's Shetnot and Bungseng were yellow carded during the stoppage time (80+1' and (80+3') for unsporting behaviours.
In yesterday's second match, ULFC were held to a  2-2 draw by LCYCC, Liwa Changning at Kapaam Ground. Interestingly, Wangaul scored a brace (53', 57') in the second half to make the score lock at 2-2 after SK Bungpen completed his brace (6', 43') helping LCYCC lead the first half 1-0.
HYC and Tampi FC also played out a 1-1 draw yesterday in the earlier match.
NWYC will meet Tampi FC in the next match of the tournament at MUGHSS, Chandel on September 16 at 12.30 pm while KDC will take on HYC latter at 3 pm.
