State Level JN Hockey: Nongchup Imphal Sagoltongba HS earn U-17 girls crown, Jai Hind Govt HS claim U-15 boys title

IMPHAL, Sep 15 : Nongchup Imphal Sagoltongba HS, Imphal West district and Jai Hind Government HS, Imphal East district respectively emerged the U-17 girls and U-15 boys champions at the State Level JN Hockey Tournament-2019 organised by Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports at Hockey Stadium, Khuman Lampak, Imphal.
Nongchup Imphal Sagoltongba HS thrash Jai Hind for U-17 girls' crown
Nongchup Imphal Sagoltongba HS which emerged U-17 boys champions in the same tournament managed the U-17 girls title too with a 10-1 thrashing of Jai-Hind Govt HS , Imphal East in the final match held today. T Aeingbi shone with a double hattrick (1', 2', 15', 33', 44', 52') today in this huge win for the Imphal West side as she opened up the floodgate right from the opening minute itself while her compatriot Sh Tanu netted twice (45', 42') apart from N Bina (23') and M Priya (38') finding the target.
The consolation goal for the Imphal East side was scored by H Bidyaluxmi in the 51st minute of the match.
Jai Hind Govt HS clinch U-15 boys' title
Imphal East's Jai Hind Govt HS claimed the U-15 boys title after defeating Nongchup Imphal Sagoltongba HS by 3-2 goals in a thrilling final match today.
Y Bidyananda brace (21', 35') and another from Kh Samikanta (29') helped the Imphal East team grab the win as Nongchup Imphal Sagoltongba HS efforts fell short despite I Rohit hitting a brace (9', 13') for the team.
