AR organises community service

Mantripukhri Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis HQ IGAR (South) organized a community service with an aim to interact with the local populace as well as sensitise them in regards to existing security situation in the area.
The community service cum interaction was organised by Yangangpokpi Company Operating Base (COB) of Mantripukhari Battalion at New Saibol Village Catholic Church, said a press release issued by PRO, IGAR. The interaction aims to familiarise and orient troops of the COB with the locals as well as identify with their local customs and traditions, it stated.
The event commenced with offering of prayers followed by an interaction with the villagers.  An interaction with the villagers was also held wherein the villgers shared their concerns with the troops of the Battalion, added the statement.
