IMPHAL, Sep 15: The JAC formed in connection with the mysterious death of Ningthoujam Babysana, has strongly condemned the alleged support shown towards the authorities of Standard Robarth Hr Sec School by the womenfolk and Meira Paibis of Langthabal Kunja, Kyamgei and Thongju  by staging sit in protests.
A statement issued by the convenor of the JAC alleged that on day of the unfortunate incident, some Meira Paibis were present at the site along with the school authorities even before the family members of the deceased reached the place.
The JAC then cautioned that making counter arguments and claims when it is trying to ensure investigation of the case by the CBI, will not be taken lightly.
It also warned that the people arrested in connection with the case, cannot be released until and unless justice is delivered.
Pointing out that the JAC is working hard to ensure that such unfortunate incidents do not befall others in the future, it alleged that all the claims and allegations by the people who took part in the dharna will be taken as an attempt to derail the movement for justice.
The JAC also asked the State Government to act according to the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign of the Central Government  and do the needful to bring justice for the deceased.
On the other hand, narrating that police took extreme measures when Meira Paibis and womenfolk staged protests at Thangmeiband demanding justice for Babysana, the JAC lamented that the sit in protest at Kyamgei Pal Ahanbi was carried out without any disturbance.
This raises suspicion on the police, it alleged, demanding the authorities, specially the police to act according to the sentiments of the public.
