Student felicitated on bagging National medals

IMPHAL, Sep 16 : Avinash Shingam, a student of Sofia High School Canchipur, who received many medals and awards at the 8th National Dragon Boat Race Championships 2019 & 3rd National Inter State Canoe Sprite School Boys & Girls Championships held at Bhopal from August 29 to September 1, was accorded a warm welcome today.
The reception ceremony for medallist Avinash Shingam was held at the school premises.
Chairman School Managing Committee Mayengbam Khogen, Principal of the school Romesh Nameirakpam, vice Principal of the school Biteshwori attended the function among others.
One of the teachers of the school, Sapam Jiten said that  Avinash Shingam of Langthabal Kunja Mayai Leikai is the son of S Tomba and Sunita.
Avinash bagged three gold and three silver at the National Championships, he said and added that he has brought laurels to the school and to the State.
