Shillong, Sep 15: Indian Council for Cultural Relations Shillong  & Directorate of Art & culture, East Khasi Hills in association with Metallica-Sargam Sports & Cultural Club, Shillong organised the prize distribution ceremony of its 18th Annual Inter-School Cultural competitions,  at R.B. Anupchand Hindi Secondary School Auditorium, Shillong on Saturday.
The state’s Health Minister, AL Hek graced the function as chief guest while Waquil Ahmed, Second rank officer at N.C.C. was the guest of honour during the program.
During the programme prizes were distributed to children from different schools and a cultural function was also held as part of the programme. Meanwhile, the Metallica-Sargam Sports & Cultural Club Shillong in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Shillong as done in previous years, has once again observed Hindi Diwas, at R.b.A. Hindi Hr. Sec. School Auditorium, Shillong on Saturday. Waquil Ahmed was the resource person of the program during which a Hindi poetry recitation and a Hindi essay writing competition was held.
