143 Bn CRPF distributes water storage tanks

Tml, Sep 16: 143 Bn CRPF under the aegis of IGP Manipur and Nagaland sector conducted a civic action programme at Rengpang-III village today.
In this programme, 34 (500 litre capacity each) water storage tanks were distributed to the marginalized people of Rengpang-1, 2 & 3 villages, said a press release issued by Commandant 143.
This programme was organized with the intention to help the needy persons of the village.
Praveen Kumar Singh, DIG Range Imphal, graced the occasion as the chief guest and distributed water storage tanks to the villagers in the presence of Lal Chand Yadav, Commandant-143 Bn, M Hazra, Dy Commandant, Dharmendra Kumar, Assistant Commandant of 143 Bn CRPF, dignitaries of local administration and village headman.
A cultural program was also organized on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Commandant-143 Bn CRPF further said that, under the civic action programmes, 143 Bn CRPF has been trying to redress the needs and requirements of the locals.
Three solar street lights were also installed at Taubam Village (Irang) and handed over to the local public for their convenience on August 28.
Around 500 people of surrounding areas attended the function.
Local population of the area expressed happiness with the functioning of 143 Bn CRPF and thanked a lot for conducting such activities under civic action programme.
