L Ronaldo bags two gold for India at Track Asia Cup 2019

IMPHAL, Sep 9 : Cyclists from Manipur performed their best to earn India three medals, including two gold and one bronze medals as the Track Asia Cup 2019 began today at IG Sports Complex, New Delhi.
The team comprising of Yanglem Rojit Singh, Laitonjam Ronaldo and Collinwoo Paul give a gold medal finish in the junior men's team sprint event today beating teams from Kazakhstan and Iran today.
The Indian team finished the course with a best time of 46.575 seconds while Kazakhstan's Alexandre, Arlanbek and Daniyar bagged the second place with a time of 49.880 seconds. Iran team consisting of Moein, Sina and Amirhossein were third taking 51.758 seconds at this event.
Manipur's Keithellakpam Jemsh along Esow and Sanuraj Paul on the other hand won a bronze medal in elite men's team sprint event as they managed 48.288 seconds to finished third as the Thailand and Kazakhstan team respectively earned the top and second place.
Thailand team comprising of Jai, Worayut and Jaturong grabbed the gold with a best time of 46.271 second while Viktor Bogdan and Temirkhan clocked 48.157 seconds to settle for the silver medal.
Laitonjam Ronaldo helped India with the second gold medal in the junior men's category as he topped individual 1 km time trial event taking 1 minute 3.288 seconds. Sina from Iran finished second in this event with a time of 1 minute 8.879 seconds while India's Gurpreet Singh managed the bronze medal with a time of 1 minute 9.104 seconds.
