Natl School Games: Manipur girls smash Andhra Pradesh 7-0 to enter quarter final

IMPHAL, Jan 16: Manipur team has entered the quarter final of the 65th National School Games Under-14 Girls' Football Tournament 2029-20 at Kurukshetra after they emerged group champion of the league matches with a clean 7-0 win over Andhra Pradesh today.
The fourth match of the Manipur team which volleyed them into the quarter final saw Shelia and Kimte scoring a double each. Sanjita scored the first goal 4th minute into the game followed by Silky's one in the 9th minute and Shelia's double in the 15th and 19th minute before the first half ended.
The second half witnessed the Manipur team breaking the Andhra Pradesh's defence line to score three more to make the final score line read 7-0. Kimte scored her goals in the 32nd and 39th minutes while Bijaya scored one in the 37th minute.
