Stage set for semi-finals of E Pishak Memorial Volleyball tournament

IMPHAL, Jan 17 : The semi-final line up of the 2nd Elangbam Pishak Singh Memorial State Level Men's Open Volleyball Tournament was completed today.
KYLSC, Kachikhul will take on MPSC at 12.30 pm tomorrow in the first semi-final match of the tournament being underway at SETDA playground, Sekmaijin Thongam under the aegis of All Manipur Volleyball Association while YPA, Hiyanglam Hiranmei will face off with YMDO, Heirangoithong for the remaining final berth latter on.
In the last Group B league matches of the tournament staged today, KYLSC overwhelmed USWC, Uchiwa in straight sets (25-14, 25-16, 25-22) to emerge Group winners . Yesterday they earned a 25-17, 22-25, 25-10, 25-22 win against PALYDA to extend their winning run.
YMDO who suffered first match defeat in the hands of KYLSC, redeemed themselves by thrashing PALYDA, Phoubakchao 25-14, 25-14, 25-18 to notch up their second win in Group stage and completed the semi-final line up. Yesterday they make their way back to the semi-final race by easing to a 25-20, 25-19, 25-13 win against USWC.
In yesterday's Group A league match, MPSC sealed a 19-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-23 to make up their first match snub and move into the last 4 round as Group A runners up.
