T Subol Veteran T-20 Cricket: YWC-L set up final date with CYCLONE

IMPHAL, Jan 17 : YWC-Langthabal will lock horns with CYCLONE for the title of the 4th T Subol Memorial Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament on January 19.
YWC sealed a 7 wicket victory against LCCC, Lilong Chajing in the semi-final staged today at Langthabal Public Ground to complete the final line up.
LCCC's 143 run target proved too small for the Langthabal team as they reached 144 runs for 3 in 17.2 overs with Manaobi hitting an unbeaten 69 in 57 deliveries.
LCCC which won the toss decided to bat first and gathered 142 runs for 7 in their quota of 20 overs. Mujibur Rahman topscored in this innings with a brilliant knock of 50 in 49 balls while Sanjit gathered 35 more runs before Krishna added 13 runs in 10 balls.
The innings saw Samanda and Kumarjit pick up two wickets each while Priyokumar claim a single.
In the chase, Manaoba blazed 69 runs off 57 balls to put YWC in comfortable position while Sashi and Gojendra added 29 and 20 runs respectively to bring the team to a sniffing distance of a win.
Samanda too remained not out in this innings with 8 runs in his name en route to their victory.
Jiten and Jilla of LCCC were able to registered a wicket each in their names in a losing cause.
Eventually L Manaobi who produced a fine batting performance in the chase was named man of the match.
