UBFC hammer BBU 7-0 to reach semis

IMPHAL, Jan 20 : UBFC, Hmarkhawlien trounced BBU, Barak Circle 7-0 to today to finish Group Y leaders and move to the last four round of the ongoing 1st Moirangthem Jodishchandra Memorial Invitation Football Tournament organised by All Jiribam Sports Association at Jiribam Higher Secondary School Playground.
UBFC which played out a 3-3 draw with Sunrise Club, Kadamtala in the earlier quarter final league round clash had a slow start to the game before pumping in 5 goals in the second half to complete the 7-0 demolition of BBU.
Ela gave UBFC a 1-0 lead with his strike in the 35th minute before scoring another in the 79th minute of the match while Ringsan doubled the advantage in the 56th minute before BBU's Zaphet conceded and own goal to make it 3-0.
Isaac then carried forward the momentum by adding twice in the 67th and the 78th minutes. Lalrorel then took the honour to round off the scoring in the 83rd minute of the match.
