16 th KIWT 2020 Ward No 10, 1 win in football, Ward No16, 3(B) triumph in volleyball

KANGPOKPI, Jan 20 : Ward No  1 under-13 and Veteran team won their respective matches and Ward No 10 earned another win over Ward No 4 in the main category as Ward No  2(A) and Ward No 7 played out a draw in the ongoing 16th Kanggui Inter Ward Tournament 2020 at Brig M Thomas ground, Kangpokpi today.
In the first match of the Under-13 football which kicked off this morning at 8 am at Brig  M Thomas Ground, Ward No 1 had a narrow 1-0 win over Ward No 8. Thanggougin scored the winning goal of Ward No 1 in the 27th minutes.
In the first match of the main category, Ward No  10 had an easy 4-1 over Ward No 4. Nganingsang (10 th ) and Jangminlen (11th , 25th , 27th) scored for Ward No 10 while Thangjahao pulled back a goal for Ward No 4 in the 8th minute.
In the third match of the main category, Ward No 2 (A) were held to a 2-2 draw by Ward No 7.
Seiminthang (17th) and Daniel (60th) scored for Ward No 2 (A) while Haogoumang (30th , 46th) scored for Ward No 7.
In the second match of the veteran category, Ward No 1 had an unexpected 3-0 win over Ward No 13 to book a berth in the semi-final Round Robin League. Paokai (42nd), Gigin (48th) and MangHangshing (54th) scored for Ward No 1.
In the men’s volleyball which commenced this morning, Ward No 1(A) defeated Ward No 12 in straight  sets (25-22/25-11) in the first match while Ward No 16 defeated Ward No 17 25-23/25-18 in the second match.
In women’s volleyball, Ward No 9(B) defeated Ward No 4 in straight sets (25-16/25-12) in the first match while Ward No 3 (B) secured a 25-14/19-25/25-22 win over Ward No 13.
