Huge 103 run victory for YWC in Heibok Trophy opener

IMPHAL, Jan 22 : YWC started their campaign at the 3rd Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament with a huge 103 run victory against KSDO, Kiyamgei in the inaugural match today at Langthabal Public Ground. Altogether 10 team clubbed into two groups will be vying for top honours of the tournament being organised by Langthabal Youth Sporting Club.
YWC after winning the toss chose to bat first and gave KSDO a huge target of 176 runs at the cost of 6 wickets, which proved too big for the latter team.
Prafulomani shone with 52 runs off 38 balls in this innings which saw his team mate Bishwas add up 32 runs off 24 balls and remained not out before picking up two wicket in the second innings to emerge man of the match.
Jiko also added a significant 23 runs to YWC's tally in this innings which saw KSDO's Tarique, Shah Nawas and Shahajan pick up a wicket each.
Bishwas, Sunil, Dina and Prakash then picked up two wickets each to tear apart the batting line up of KSDO in the chase forcing the latter team to bundle out for a paltry 71 runs.
KSDO's Rahiz Raza and Ilyas managed 20 and 14 runs respectively to get their names on the scoresheet in this chase.
