He continued that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was a freedom fighter and a patriot who sacrificed his life in the movement for country's independence, apart from playing a crucial role in the South East Asia countries.
Netaji was an exceptional leader of the Indian National Army who ousted the British regime from India, Dr Nara added. He reached Moirang during the struggle for freedom movement, in which the Azad Hind Fauj was also formed, Dr Nara added.
His role, his contributions and his efforts are less known or appreciated by today's youth/generation, he said while urging all to know about such exceptional freedom fighter.
Netaji was against the partition of India and Pakistan and he always dreamt of a peaceful unified country.
When India achieved independence in 1947, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose disappeared which left the people shocked and devastated, he added.
