MoU signed

The State Government signed an MoU with ALS Satellite Private Limited for IAS coaching under the Chief Minister's Scholarship Scheme for civil services aspirants.
A press release issued by Directorate of University and Higher Education stated that National Sales Head Prateek Bhattacharya, on behalf of ALS Satellite Education Pvt Lt, and Director of University and Higher Education W Malemnganba Chenglei, on behalf of the State Government, signed the MoU for sponsorship of IAS aspirants under CM's Scholarship Scheme yesterday.
As per the MoU, the State Government should sponsor 150 candidates each year for UPSC coaching to ALS, amounting to scholarship worth Rs 1.06 crore.
It stated that the selected students will undergo training at ALS Authorised Learning Centres in Imphal, Churachandpur, Senapati, Tamenglong and Ukhrul for the best IAS mentors of Delhi.
Meanwhile, the 150 selected students, who are undergoing training for the current academic year will be writing their prelims exam in May this year.
ALS (India's largest IAS coaching network) with more than 90 centres across India including 30 in NE has been a reputed  coaching institute from Delhi with more than 2800 selections in UPSC till date.
ALS has also received similar sponsorship from Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland in the past.
