CM launches GAT disposable cup

Imphal, Jan 23 (DIPR)
Chief Minister N Biren Singh today launched GAT cup, a single use disposable cups manufactured by Global Approaching Track, which is a private company based at Imphal.
The launching ceremony was held at the Chief Minister’s office in the presence of The Sangai Express (Manipuri edition) Editor Khogendra Khomdram, All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU) Vice-President Soubam Bokuljaoba and Naharolgi Thoudang Associate Editor Tensubam Chandragupta.
The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction to the company for manufacturing bio-degradable disposable paper cups for the first time in Manipur.
He said that it is really encouraging that the State has started witnessing an entrepreneurship movement in the past couple of years with many educated and talented youth putting in efforts to run their own business instead of waiting for Government jobs.
The Chief Minister also stated that the Government is ready to provide monetary assistance through StartUp Manipur, StandUp Manipur and bank loans to hard working youths.
Global Approaching Track is currently manufacturing paper cups of only two different sizes. However, it is planning to produce cups of different sizes soon.
