The Twelfth Night is long over;
Today is 26 January 2020.
Can I say
I am well into 2020?
Did I celebrate the start of the year?
Did I greet my friends
And have a marvelous time
With my near and dear ones?
Do I wake to a New Year
Or do the New Year wake me up?
Where is the sight
The sound and the scent of the world
That have never failed to thrill me?
Am I already dead
Before I am actually dead and gone
For not knowing
The presence of the New Year is not
In the outside world
But in myself?
