Farmers mela held at Mongjam

IMPHAL, Oct 27
District Agriculture Office and Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Imphal East in collaboration with the Farmers Club Mongjam conducted a Farmers Mela at Mongjam Community Hall, Mongjam Mayai Leikai.
The function was attended by farmers from Mongjam, Maibakhul and adjoining Villages.
The Pradhan, DAO Imphal East, Upa Pradhan of Nilakhuthi GP and President of the Farmers Clubs presided the function as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Stringent measures were taken up by the organising commitee so as to follow the SOP set by the Governement of India.
As part of the function various items were displayed for the farmers. Organic insecticides, pheromone traps and seeds were also distributed.
Resource person from the Department of Agriculture and ATMA deliberated talks on Soil Health Management and Integrated Pest Management.
