27 AR gifts ventilator set to Ukhrul Hospital

Ukhrul, Oct 29: 27 AR, Ukhrul today gifted one ventilator set to Ukhrul District Hospital as part of Jan Andolan awareness campaign in the district.
The ventilator set was provided to ensure better health care and to equip the hospital with more isolation facilities for treatment of Covid-19 patients and other emergency cases in the district hospital.
A rally was also taken out to make the public aware of the COVID appropriate behaviour as part of the campaign.
The rally began from 27 AR outpost Wino Bazar and converged at Mini Secretariat office complex, Hamleikhong Ukhrul.
Before the rally, Brigadier 10 sector Hornbill Battalion Somsai Ukhrul, Ravi Yadav handed over the ventilator set to CMO Ukhrul Dr Kapangring in the presence of DC, Ukhrul Joseph Pauline Kamson, Addl SP Ringthing and Tangkhul CSO leaders.
Meanwhile, Dr Kapangring expressed warm gratitude to Assam Rifles for the humanitarian services and gifting ventilator set, which is an essential component while in treatment for severe  Covid-19 patients and other medical purposes.
He also enlightened about the different preventive measures initiated by the Health Department and urged every individual to adhere to the guidelines/ SOP  for  Covid-19.
The CMO also highlighted the present Covid-19 status of Ukhrul district and mentioned that so far no reports of human fatality related to Covid disease.
He also mentioned that a 93 years old woman from the district was recently recovered from Covid-19.
A pledge was also taken to support  Jan Andolan campaign on COVID-19 with special emphasis on three messages "Wear Mask, Follow Physical Distancing, Maintain Hand Hygiene."
The rallyists held placards written in local Tangkhul dialects about the safety measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus by observing the basic rules.
The AR personnel also distributed facemasks to all pedestrians as a mark of Covid awareness campaign in Ukhrul town.
