MSCW highlights

IMPHAL, Oct 28: Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) had  a meeting with Social Welfare Minister Okram Henry Singh at his office chamber on October 26.
Chairperson of the Commission, Dr Binota Meinam, its Members, Lourembam Dayabati, Chuongsin Koireng and Th Tiningpham Monsang,  Commissioner (Social Welfare) H Gyan Prakash and Director (Social Welfare) Ng Uttam Singh attended the meeting, said the Commission in a statement today.
The MSCW highlighted their grievances regarding ‘grant-in-aid of the Commission’, infrastructure, issue of vehicles, remuneration of the Members to the Minister and also discussed the increasing crime against women during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Minister gave his assurance to the Commission to address their grievances, it added.
