COVID-19 : AR organises rally

As part of the Jan Andolan programme, Assam Rifles organised a mega COVID-19 awareness motorcycle rally at Moreh, today.
A statement from IGAR (S) said that over 140 motorbike borne youth carried placards and raised slogans to prevent the spread of the virus through wearing of face masks, maintaining physical distancing and regularly washing hands.
The motorcycle rally was accompanied by a vehicle-mounted band of Assam Rifles which played awareness songs.
The motorcycle rally was flagged off jointly by M Rajkumar Singh ( IAS), DC Tengnoupal and Commandant Assam Rifles at Moreh and terminated at Integrated Check Post, Moreh, it added.
The statement also stated that the Additional SP (Operations), ADC Moreh, Customs Department, Integrated Check Post officials and leaders of Civil Society Organisations of Moreh town also participated in the rally.
