Jan Andolan campaign held

The Assam Rifles organised COVID-19 awareness drives  Khongtal and Hengshi, Chandel district as part of the National Jan Andolan programme yesterday.
The drives were conducted with an aim to spread awareness about the preventive measures to be taken up to effectively combat COVID-19. A rally was organised at Hengshi to ensure that the protocols of COVID appropriate behaviour reaches all villagers, said a statement of PRO IGAR (South).
Aspects of wearing face masks, social distancing and personal hygiene were highlighted in the awareness drives. The AR troops also distributed face masks and hand sanitizers to the locals. All villagers, shopkeepers and school children appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles, said the statement.
