Sports items distributed

The 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 sector AR distributed sports items to the youth of Phelong Village in Tousem Sub division of Tamenglong district yesterday.
The initiative has been carried out to inculcate the spirit of participation in sports in rural areas which will contribute in achieving the objective of upgrading the sports infrastructure. Khelo India programme under the Ministry of Youth Affairs has set 12 verticals to achieve these objectives. Assam Rifles through its youth friendly initiatives is contributing and promoting sports in rural areas of Tamenglong.
