Fresh water distribution service nearing completion

BISHNUPUR, Nov 11: Preparation for fresh water distribution service of Saiton in Bishnupur District's Kumbi AC is nearing completion.
Pipelines have been laid  to upgrade the out of order Saiton Water Supply Scheme.
BJP Bishnupur District Committee's secretary Sanasam Premchandra today surveyed the status of the water supply.
He was accompanied by PHED Kumbi Circle SO Th Tunungam Kom, Saiton Gram Panchayat Pradhan M Ibomcha and other volunteers.
The whole cost of taking the pipes from the PHED, laying of the pipes to Khuga river, 1 engine and 2 electric motors  of the water supply scheme, building renovation and other miscellaneous expenses have been borne by the BJP Bishnupur District Committee's secretary Sanasam Premchandra.
300 households of Saiton, 200 households of Hayaikon, 100 households of Leitanpokpi and 30 households of Saiton Khullen Scheduled Tribe village will get the fresh water distribution service from the ongoing week.
The service will now be available throughout the year after the completion of the  2 Km long pipelines from Khuga river.
The repair works of the 350m long Shyam Leirak and Surchand Leirak of Kumbi Municipal Council ward no. 3 was also surveyed by S Premchandra today.
As a part of the visit, to help the farmers of Saiton S Premchandra also distributed copies of his book "Maning Tamlaba Loumee, Mapangal Leiraba Loumee".
He added that the book will also be given to the villagers of Kumbi AC.
