Seminar on ‘Building our Economy Post Covid-19’ held at Ukhrul

Ukhrul, Nov 14: A seminar on building the economy post Covid-19 for the local traders/businessmen of Ukhrul town was organised today  at Ava market Phungreitang, Ukhrul by the Tangkhul Leihsak Long (TLL)/ Tangkhul trade council union
TLL president Ramyo Raingam said that the  objective of the seminar is to encourage more locals in business activities and to upgrade their business.
Panel speaker Achan Sharon Manager, RBI Imphal lectured on the topic "Building our economy post Covid-19 : Financial perspective".
He gave his views on how to build relationships with financial institutions such as banks or others  in order to obtain cash support in the form of loans and Government sponsored schemes. Financial literacy is a requisite component for a successful entrepreneur.
Achan Sharon also mentioned about free collateral loans and urged them to take advantage of it, and about the safety net such as basic insurance for life cover.
Yureihor Khaleng, CEO, SEAT Ukhrul also talked about the local NGO interventions in assisting youths to start business by providing seed money in the past years.
He stressed on strict financial discipline in their business management.
Ramthing Kasar, founder Director, GoNEM also elaborated on ‘Building Our Economy Post Covid-19 .
Over 150 entrepreneurs attended the seminar.
