IMPHAL, Nov 5 : COVID-19 claimed three more lives in the last 24 hours to take the total death tally to 192.
The deceased include a 66 year old man from Kamjong, a 54 year old woman from Thoubal and an 83 year old woman from Imphal West. The first two passed away at RIMS while the third person passed away at Shija Hospital in the wee hours of today.
Significantly the statement issued by the State Health Department did not mention the death at Shija Hospital and hence the official statement issued from the State Government is at variance with the inputs received from different hospitals here.
On the other hand altogether 222 persons were reported positive for the contagion during the last 24 hours from different testing centres set up all over the State.
The 222 positive cases included 207 civilians, including 115 females and 15 from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF).

All the positive cases were tested at JNIMS, RIMS, Imphal East, Shija Hospital, Swiss, CMC, Iboyaima, Raj Medicity, Hillside, Asian Hospital, Advance Hospital, Escent Diagnostics, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Tamenglong, Tengnoupal, Ukhrul, Senapati, Chandel, and Babina Diagnostics.
