2 day tabletop and mock exercise

BISHNUPUR, Nov 6: A two-day tabletop exercise and mock exercise began  today at Mini Secretariat complex, Bishnupur to discuss the roles of  District Disaster Management Authority  Bishnupur and Incident Response Team (IRT) Bishnupur during an earthquake and their responses to the emergency.
The programme organised by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was presided by DC Bishnupur, Neeta Arambam. Bishnupur Zilla Parishad, Adhyaksha Dr Romabai Lairenjam, Bishnupur Police ASP (Ops) Luikham Lanmiyo, 12 Bn NDRF Doimulah, Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Commandant, Sh Abhinay Kayshap and team Commander H Johnson Hmar attended the programme.
H Johnson Hmar presented a slideshow with information on natural calamities, especially earthquakes at the programme.He said that establishing Disaster Management Authority is crucial to fling into actions whenever a situation arises.
A mock drill will be carried out at the New Mini Secretariat complex, Bishnupur, tomorrow.
