Death toll rises by 2, positives by 166

IMPHAL, Nov 6: During the last 24 hours, the State’s COVID-19 death toll rose by two while the positive cases increased by 166.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, two men aged 47 and 86, both residents of Imphal West expired at RIMS during the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 194.
Both of them were COVID-19 positive.
However, the official death toll stands at 191 as three deaths reported from Shija Hospital during the last few days have not been reflected in the official tally maintained by the COVID-19 Common Control Room.  
In the meantime, 166 persons including seven personnel of CAPF were tested positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours at JNIMS, RIMS, Imphal East, Imphal West, Maipakpi Hospital, Shija Hospital, Acme Hospital, CMC, Iboyaima Hospital, Raj Medicity, Sielmat, Advance Hospital, Jivan Hospital, Escent Diagnostics, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Kakching, Churachandpur, Tengnoupal, Noney, Ukhrul, Senapati and Babina Diagnostics.
The 159 civilians who have been tested positive belong to Imphal West (77), Imphal East (45), Thoubal (6), Bishnupur (6), Kakching (5), Senapati (2), Ukhrul (3), Churachandpur (9), Tengnoupal (4) and Noney (2). All these civilians are locals without any significant travel history.
On the other hand, 342 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from CAPF (18), home isolation (222), RIMS (9), JNIMS (11), CCC Lamboi Khongnangkhong (14), CCC UNACCO (26), RD Wing (5), Bal Bhavan (7), Bishnupur (2), Tamenglong (3), Jiribam (3), Moreh (4), Noney (3), Thoubal (11) and Lamding (4).
The cumulative figure of COVID-19 positive cases is 19,891 (general population 17080, Central security personnel 2811).
It includes 3608 active cases (general population 3307, Central security personnel 301) and 16092 recovered cases (general population 13586 and Central security personnel 2506).
The recovery rate as on Friday is 80.90 per cent.
