IMPHAL, Feb 14 : GSC earned a 2-1 win against SSU, Singjamei as Muvanlai Athletics  beat AIM, Khabam 2-1 to register second win at the 13th Manipur State League being organised by All Manipur Football Association at Football Turf Ground, Khuman Lampak.
Muvanlai Athletics  which eased to a 3-0 win against UKB in their first outing, came back from a goal down to AIM to seal a  2-1 victory today with goals in the opening half itself.
S Johny grabbed the lead for AIM early in the 4th minute with a fine shot but Muvanlai Athletics closed the gap with Lunginthang strike in the 32nd minute of the match. The goal came off a poor clearance by AIM keeper Hmangte Damkhupreng after Cleaven Hmar tried his luck from inside the box.
The morale boosting goal helped Muvanlai Athletics greatly and it was one minute from entering the break that Songpu Singsit connected to Cleaven Hmar pass and found space to tap in and overturn the lead.
The second half saw AIM toil hard to pull level but Muvanlai defence put up a brave effort to deny any change in the scoreline till the end of the game while making good use of chances they got on the way.

After conceding two back to back goals, SSU were forced to step up their hunt for goals which they eventually got in the 75th minute. GSC however made sure that there was no further scoring to go home 2-1 and open up their winning account.
