Hnatham SC win 8-1 in ADC Cdl Trophy 2nd Divn League opener

IMPHAL, Feb 17 : Hnatham SC kicked off the ADC Chandel Trophy 2nd Division Football League 2019-20 with a 8-1 thrashing of UNISA at Liwa Sarei ground today.
The tournament organised by DSA Chandel is featuring 16 teams clubbed into four pools.
In the Pool A opening match, Hnatham SC rode on a treble by NL Kohringam (8',72', 73) and a double by Ng Vikram (2', 11') to earn the huge 8-1 win against UNISA.
The other goals for the winning side was scored by HB Warshung (19'), JS Chamdil (46') and KL Phowltha (77') while the consolation goal for UNISA came up in the 53rd minute via Henry.
Meanwhile in the Pool B opener played latter, Kanankhu YC sealed a narrow 1-0 victory against CFF Veteran courtesy TS Marson's 73rd minute goal.
Japhou YC will play Cheengkhu YC tomorrow at 11 am in the Pool C opener as Monsang Pantha YCC take on Panchai SCC in the opening match of Pool D latter at 2 pm.
