13th MSL: AIM continue to suffer as SSU down SU 2-0

IMPHAL, Feb 20: AIM Khabam failed to wake up from their slumber for the fourth time as they lost Thursday match to YPHU Lalambung while SSU Singjamei won over SU (Sagolband United) 2-0 later in the day.
With N Olen Singh's double and three more goals from his team mates, YPHU sealed the 24th match of the 13th Manipur State League 2019-20 at artificial turf ground Khuman Lampak, 5-2 in their favour.
AIM, who were looking for a win to break their losing streak, managed to put together two goals from Peter (28th minute) and S Johny Kom (90+3), but were proved not enough to push their team into the spotlight.
YPHU led the match 2-0 with an early goal from L Monish (4th minute) followed  by Olen's first goal a minute after.
The team further extended their lead with W Sadananda scoring his lone goal in the 14th minute, N Olen's second in the 44th minute and Th Jugesh Singh's one in the 80th minute to hold the score 5-2 in the favour.
The second match of the day saw Tajuddin scoring one goal 7 minutes into the game and Bisheshor netting a consolation in the 90+2 minute for SSU to win the match over SU 2-0.
