Volleyball: TRYVC emerge champions

IMPHAL, Feb 20: TRYVC emerged champion of the 2nd State Level Mini Boys' Volleyball Tournament 2020 on Thursday.
TRYVC beat NYVA 26-24, 25-15, 22-25, 25-18 in the final.
Earlier in the semi finals Thursday, TRYVC beat YMDO 25-20, 25-23, 16-25, 25-22 to enter the final, while NYVA beat USDC 26-24, 25-16, 25-8 to face off against TRYVC in final.
The winners, TRYVC were awarded Rs 15,000 while NYVA were awarded Rs 10,000 as prize money.
Phanglei of TRYVC was named best player while NYVA's Kishan, Bishonat and Apabi bagged best setter, best blocker and best defender awards. They were awarded Rs 500 each.
The volleyball tournament was organised by Wangoo Laipham Heinouyam Awang Leikai and sponsored by NYVA, Naorem, under the aegis of All Manipur Volleyball Association from February 16.
