IMPHAL, Feb 21 : NISA, Thangmeiband sealed their third win of the 13th Manipur State League with a 4-1 rout of AFC, Thoubal at Artificial Turf Ground, Khuman Lampak on Friday.
Striker L Gouro remained  best for NISA as he contributed a goal while L Sanatomba followed suit to add up another in this 4-1 triumph against the Thoubal side.
High from the 6-1 thrashing of AIM in their previous outing, the Thangmeiband outfit started strongly and grabbed three goals in the first half before AFC made a more cautious approach in the second half. L Gouro netted his 7th goal of the tournament to put NISA ahead just 10 minutes into the game while N Momocha doubled the team's advantage 8th minutes latter as AFC failed to resist the hard-working NISA forwards.
L Sanatomba then gave NISA an unassailable 3-0 lead in the 32nd minute as AFC continued to struggle to get out of their half and open their account till the break.
NISA rested back with the comfortable lead after the restart as well and rarely went on attempt. AFC on the other hand, continued to toil hard to get back to the already lost game but their efforts hardly threatened NISA backline and to their disappointment, Sudhir helped NISA further extend their lead to 4-0 in the 77th minute with a clinical finish.
After conceding four goals, AFC got a reason to celebrate in the 83rd minute when S Arunjit went deep and fetched a face saving goal before his team mate L Jecop saw straight red reducing their team to a 10-man outfit. The sent off however did not affect the result of the game as NISA surged home 4-1 to take the pole position in the league table with 10 points in four matches (1 draw, 3 wins). H Telheiba (37') and L Gouro (84') of NISA and Md Imran Khan (65') of AFC picked up yellow cards in this one sided encounter.
