Seminar on prevention & precaution of sexual harassment in workplace conducted

Social and Cultural Advancement Foundation, Khurai, under National Commission for Women conducted a seminar on “Prevention and precaution of sexual harassment in workplace” at Nongpok Sanjenbam Khullen Community Hall yesterday.
A press release issued by Social and Cultural Advancement Foundation stated that Th Tiningpham Monsang, Manipur State Commission for Women Chairperson in-charge, Amom Jamini, Zilla Parishad member and Lourembam Dayabati, Manipur State Commission for Women member attended the seminar as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Th Rajendro, Secretary Social and Cultural Advancement Foundation gave the  with welcome address.
About 150 people attended the seminar and resource persons Lourembam Ashapurna, Advocate spoke on “Sexual harassment in work place and its remedies” and Khuraijam Kanta Singh, Advocate LAC talked on “Preventive measures for sexual harassment in workplace and constitutional provision”, it said.
B Supriya, Advocate and former general secretary AMBA also at the seminar on “Role of CBOs and law enforcement agency in precaution of sexual harassment in workplace”, it added.
