Water pumps, sprinklers distributed

BISHNUPUR, Feb 23: Eleven beneficiaries were distributed water pump sets and sprinklers, under the initiative of Moirang AC MLA P Sharatchandra Singh as part of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchaya Yojana (PMKSY) 2019-20.
The equipment were distributed through the Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department, during an awareness cum training programme on micro irrigation at Modi Bhawan, at the residence of MLA P Sharatchandra.
MLA Office Moirang AC Agri Section organised the event. Chairperson Moirang Municipal Council M Romibala Devi, Councillor MMC Ward No 4 N Ibomcha Singh, AO HQ Bishnupur Horticulture and Soil Conservation O Kumar Singh, ex-Councillor Kwakta Municipal Council Ward No 4 Abdul Hamid, vice president BJP Moirang Mandal K Ibochouba Singh and CEO MLA office Moirang AC Ph Nilamani Singh attended the event.
The water pump and sprinkler systems are being made available at a subsidised rate. Farmers have to pay Rs 15,000 for the systems. Rs 10,000 as subsidy will be transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers, said AO O Kumar encouraging farmers to avail the benefit.
