Ex-Minister inaugurates school kitchen, boarding & bathroom complex

BISHNUPUR, Feb 23: Ex-Minister N Mangi Singh on Sunday inaugurated kitchen, boarding and bathroom complex of Kumbi Sandhong Upper Primary School, Kumbi, Bishnupur district.
The mid-day meal kitchen, boarding facility and bathroom were constructed with a cost of Rs 4.5 lakh contributed by the locals, ex-MLAs and MLAs, said school officials.
Councillor Ward No 9 WC Bobychand Luwang, Deputy Inspector of Schools Kumbi Circle M Meghachandra Singh, Deputy Inspector of Schools Kumbi Circle Kh Rajen Singh, Deputy Inspector of Schools Kumbi Circle M Nimai Singh, Vice Principal Kumbi College Gyanibhusan and social worker Bobyjames Wahengbam attended the event.
The Headmaster of the school, National Teacher Awardee Kh Nabakumar Singh thanked all who contributed in construction of the facilities.
The school currently has about 400 students enrolled, he said urging Government to look into the needs of the school.
The school lacks required infrastructures and adequate teachers, he added.
