Headmaster issues fake admit cards, terminated

CHURACHANDPUR, Feb 22: A Headmaster of a school in Churachandpur has been terminated from his service for allegedly issuing fake HSLCE (High School Lea-ving Certificate Exami- nation) admit cards.
The Managing Board of EL Scism High School, Churachandpur announced the termination of the Headmaster identified as Khuma today for issuing 'fake' admit cards to eight students of the school.
The issue came to light after 8 of the 27 students of the school found no seat in the Class X examination hall as they had 'fake' admit cards.
Addressing media persons at the school today, the managing board announced that they have terminated the Headmaster from his service. The Headmaster had failed to submit the registration forms of the stu- dents to the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM).
The fake admit cards were 'delivered' by one Ranjit Singh, who has been identified as the runner of the Headmaster, said the board.
"We have met with the Secretary, Controller of Examinations of BOSEM and Commissioner, Education (S) and intimated the loopholes that resulted in the unfortunate incident.
The BOSEM has assured to look into the matter and allow registration of the students next year," said the board.
Expressing their unparalleled sympathies to the eight students who have lost a precious good year due to abject irresponsibility and incompetency of the Headmaster, the school managing board said they will extend all necessary help to the students to enable them pursue their education. The board also asked the students and parents for forgiveness.
