Backs peace talks

Kohima, Feb 26 : The Sangtam Naga tribe reaffirmed its support to the ongoing political talks between the Government of India (GoI) and NSCN-IM assuring to "stand by it till the final agreement is reached for a permanent solution".
An official statement from the NSCN-IM on Wednesday said that the United Sangtam Region (USR) of National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN), led by TT Among, Collective Leadership member and Thronglise Sangtam (CAO, USR), Kilonsers and Tatars, held a meeting with the United Sangtam Likhum Pumji (USLP) and United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) in Dimapur on Tuesday.
It said that the meeting focused on the prevailing Indo-Naga political talks and it resolved that the USLP, which had supported the Indo-Naga peace process from the very beginning had reaffirmed its support to the ongoing political talks between the Government of India (GoI) and the NSCN and shall stand by it till the final agreement is reach for a permanent solution. It also said that the USLP was led by its president T Seopi Sangtam and team USSC was led by its executive chairman Thronglichem Sangtam. The meeting was chaired by Moses Santam, Deputy Kilonser of the NSCN-IM. East Mojo
