Kh Romajit wins marathon title at 9th Kangleipak Mega Sports Festival 2020

IMPHAL, Mar 14: Kh Romajit has bagged the title of the 9th Kangleipak Mega Sports Festival 2020 marathon organised by Kangleipak Sports Association, under the aegis of Athletics Association of Manipur, from March 9 to 12.
Kh Romajit of Khundrakpam finished the marathon in 1:06:12 hours to bag the gold medal while Kh Romesh (1:08:46) of Samurou and O Roben (1:09:50) of Yairipok bagged silver and bronze medal in the event. First, second and third position holders were given Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and rs 10,000 as prize money. 4th position to 20th position were also given consolation prizes.
Other trophies/events
9th Kangleipak Kang Trophy 2020: Nambul Mapal Kangkhut emerged champions with Salai Taret Kangkhut, TEKA-B Kangkhut and Gopaldev Kangkhut clinched second, third and fourth position.
Th Kumar Singh of Nambul Mapal Kangkhut was declared best Chekfei player while Th Priyokumar Singh of Gopaldev Kangkhut was named the best Lamtha player.
Football
Imphal East District Football Association beat DSA Kangpokpi 2-0 to emerge champions of the 9th Kangleipak Football Trophy (U-17 Boys Inter District Football Tournament) held under the aegis of All Manipur Football Association.
O Henba and Manglemthang scored the winning goals for Imphal East District Football Association in the 5th and 63rd minute respectively.
18th Kangleipak Cheibi Yendamnaba
Meetei Ipa Ipu Salai Inat Khongul Leeba (MIISIKHOL), Khurai secured the top spot with 5 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals while MIISIKHOL Lamlai was placed second with 5 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals. The competition was held under the aegis of All Manipur Cheibi Association.
L Thomash of IKTTA Kakching was named the best player (boys) while Kh Meheshori was declared the best player in girls category.
M Ratana Chanu was named the best jury.

5th Kangleipak Thang-Ta Championship 2020
Imphal West District Thang-Ta Association emerged champions with a total of 122 points (15 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medal) followed by Imphal East Thang-Ta Association with 53 points (3 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze). Thoubal District Thang-Ta Association clinched 2 gold, 2 silver to secure third place.
