Akoijam Ratankumar clinches Mr Imphal East 2020 title

IMPHAL, Mar 15
Akoijam Ratankumar clinched the title of the 19th Mr Imphal East 2020 Open Championship which was organised by Imphal East District Body Building and Fitness Association (IEDBBFA) today at Badminton Indoor Hall at the residence of Dr Akendrajit of Singjamei Waikhom Leikai.
Makunga Modar Maring of KBBTC, Kakching finished second to win silver medal in the senior class as Akoijam Ratankumar of Lion Gym, Kwakeithel fetched the gold medal while Thokchom Toni Singh of U- Fitness Centre, Singjamei and Ratanasagar Sinha of Lion Gym jointly finished third to win bronze medals. Robert Mayanglambam of Lion Gym finished 4th in this category (senior body building).
Meanwhile in the junior body building contest, Rishikanta Chandam of Lion Gym finished on top to win the gold medal while his compatriots Akoijam Sanjoy Singh and Potshangbam Chandrakanta finished second and third. U-Fitness Centre's RK Sunil finished fourth in this competition
In the masters event, Takhellambam Dushanta of Lion Gym bagged gold medal.
Men's classic gold medal on the other hand, went to Thokchom Toni Singh of U-Fitness Centre while Lion Gym's Akoijam Sanjoy Singh and Robert Mayanglambam won silver and bronze medals respectively.
In the men's physique event, Maradona Yumnam of KBB Gym, Tera won the gold medal as U-Fitness Centre's Akoijam Napolian bagged the silver medal and Lion Gym's Yumnam Sanju fetched the bronze medal. U-Fitness Centre's Pural Laishom, Takhelambam Prince and Lisham Sushanta Singh were placed fourth, fifth and sixth in this category.
In the women's bikini category, Malemleima Thokchom of Lion Gym grabbed the gold medal while her compatriot Baby Friday Mutum finished second to win the silver medal.
N Shivdas, president, IBBFF MU; N Noren, vice president, IBBFF MU and S Sanajaoba, vice president IEDBBFA graced the body building event as presidium members, said a press release of the association.
S Sanajaoba Meitei, A Inao Meitei, N Babita Devi, N Sarat Meitei, Kh Angoupanba Meitei and N Joy Meitei were also honoured with State Judges Award by IBBFF MU's president, the press release added.
